"Electrical Faults", BA Degree Show. Kingston School of Art, London, UK. 2025.
The exhibition title "Electrical Faults" is inspired by the actual fire incident that happened on-site at Kingston School of Art, which resulted in the closure of the BA Fine Arts students' studios for the rest of the academic year. In his degree show, Hai Hoang presented 4 paintings, some of which became the setting stone for his second solo exhibition at Gate Gate Gallery (HCM City, Vietnam).
Hai's paintings from this period was nominated for the Freelands Painting Prize 2025, which celebrates outstanding painting by final year students attending art schools and universities across the UK. Each year, every higher education institution offering an undergraduate course in either Fine Art or Painting in the UK is invited to nominate a graduating student and their work for the prize.
